As Controller for Lighthouse1, Lloyd provides the overall management and strategic guidance for all financial and administrative operations of the organization. In this role Lloyd counsels the executive team members on intelligent strategies for growth and oversees the processes for hiring, retaining and motivating a superior workforce. Lloyd is also responsible for facilities management in both Minneapolis and Fargo.
Prior to joining Lighthouse1 Lloyd worked for Microsoft Corporation as a Director of Business Development. Lloyd performed a variety of roles involving M&A processes, contract negotiations, and new partner and alliance development. During his term with Microsoft, Lloyd also spent time as General Manager of the Enterprise Reporting group for Microsoft Great Plains software. Prior to its merger with Microsoft, Lloyd led the OEM solutions team for Great Plains Software after serving in positions of increasing responsibility at the software firm. When he's not helping Lighthouse1 navigate a complex business climate of high growth, continuous improvement in a dynamic industry, Lloyd retreats to what he calls "the simple life" on a farm in northwest Minnesota where Lloyd enjoys spending time with his family as well as hiking and fishing. An economic history buff, Lloyd holds a MBA and BS degree in economics from North Dakota State University as well as management certifications from Harvard University and the University of Chicago.
